|Onigiri in the desert and Picasso
2014 700×800×700 mm Pottery
“Place an onigiri (rice ball) and a Picasso in front of hungry persons in the desert.
Everybody will take the onigiri, for sure. Art is fake”.I tried to think about “utsuwa”
(dishes, vessels), which are artisanal pieces for eating, and art works which are not
useful for living. It was also a reflection on my own existence.
